So you’re thinking about staying in a Pub well The Windsor Trooper might just be the place for you! We are delighted to say we are a very busy Pub with a great atmosphere. When the weather is nice there is nothing better than sitting in the Sun trapped garden having a drink before turning in for the night.

The Trooper is an 18th century public house and inn, the 9 rooms have been decorated in cosy countryside style. Our rooms are equipped with their own en-suites, towels, toiletries, hairdryers, flat screen TVs, tea & coffee making facilities as well as complimentary WiFi. The rooms are all in close proximity to either the Main Bar or Beer garden so please keep this in mind when booking to stay, as the Pub does get busy.

Situated just a short walk from the centre of town it is the perfect place to stay whether you’re sightseeing, having a mini break or here for business, the Windsor Trooper provides the best of everything Windsor has to offer.

Check in opens from 3pm and Check out is 11am

Due to the popularity of our rooms we cannot offer an early in or late check out

The Pub opens at 11am so if you wish to leave your luggage with us when you check out you are more than welcome to if you are checking out before we open we’ll ask you to leave your room key and luggage in your room, you will be able to collect your luggage from the main bar later in the day.

We open at 11am therefore we do not serve breakfast at The Windsor Trooper, there are many local cafes & restaurants within a 5 minute walk that open for breakfast.

The Windsor Trooper is a very old building, our rooms may not be suitable for guests with mobility issues

    Room 1 (1st Floor, Access via Stairs) can be set up as a Twin or a Double, please make your request known when booking.

    Room 2 - Small Double

    Room 2 (1st Floor, Access via Stairs) is a quaint room with beautiful exposed brickwork, This can only be set up as a Double.

    The Room is equipped with a Kettle, Tea/Coffee, Toiletries, Towels, Hairdryer and Alarm Clock.

    Rooms 2 and 4 overlook the Courtyard to the Pub, so noise may be heard until Closing Time.

The wall behind the beds is painted light gray, and there is a small entry door on the left side of the room.

    This Room is adjacent to the Pub Garden, this area is very popular in the Summer, we close The Garden at 10pm to reduce any noise for our Guests.

    Room 9 (1st Floor, Access via Stairs) This 2 Bed Apartment ihas a quintisential cottage feel, with varying size doorways. This Apartment is Ideal for a family with young children, this is because access to the 2nd smaller bedroom is through the bathroom. The smaller bedroom has a Day Bed with a pull out mattress should you need 2 Beds. Please make your request known when booking.

    The Room is equipped with a Kitchen, Fridge Freezer, Oven, Microwave, Dining Table and 4 Chairs, Cutlery, Glassware, Crockery, Kettle, Tea/Coffee, Toiletries, Towels, Hairdryer and Alarm Clock.

    We can decorate the room ready for your arrival with the appropriate bunting and balloons.

    Price to decorate the room is £15, if you wish to add drinks a Large bottle of Prosecco £45, House Champagne £75 or our Premium Champagne £115. (All Drinks prices include the room decoration)

    We can add your chosen package to the Room bill when checking in, or you can call ahead and pay to keep it a surprise!

  • Fancy being romantic?

    We can set up your room with rose petals on the bed as well as a single rose and there will be a chilled bottle of something bubbly.

    All prices includes the flowers:

    Prosecco £40, House Champagne £70 or if you wish to upgrade to our Premium Champagne £110.

    Your chosen package can be added to your room bill, or you can call us to pay over the phone and keep it a surprise!
